The Dornier Do X was a German flying boat of the late 1920s,
designed and built by the Dornier Metallbauten company. It was
the largest and most powerful aircraft of its time, setting
numerous world records for payload and passenger capacity. Its
construction was a significant engineering feat, featuring a
massive hull and twelve engines mounted in six nacelles above
the wings.
The Do X was intended for transatlantic passenger service, but
its development was plagued by technical issues and high
operating costs. Despite its impressive scale and capabilities, it
